Bruce Webster (Banjo, Guitar, Harmonica, Piano, Ukulele)

Bruce has 10 years of classical piano training from the Toronto Conservatory. He has been teaching guitar, banjo, ukulele, harmonica and piano for over 30 years. He specializes in guitar finger-style, country, blues and ragtime, 5 string bluegrass banjo. He offers students positive instruction and encouragement to be the best musicians they can be.
His rate is $30 per half hour.

Chris Hill (Guitar, Bass Guitar, Ukulele)

Chris was born in Montreal Quebec and moved to BC when he was five, It wasn't long after that his love of music began to surface. His mother played jazz piano and his father played British invasion guitar mixed with the blues. So from an early age Chris had plenty of influences to choose from. His brother gave him a fretless bass when he was 9 followed by some guitars for various birthdays from his parents including a fender Stratocaster for his 16th.
After playing in bands in high school Chris was off to Capilano University where he studied jazz.immediatly following that he hit the ground running playing professionally in live in studio situations for the next 20 years.
He then switched from live to lessons and has been teaching steadily for the last six years. Chris takes great pleasure introducing people to music, watching them develop and hearing the tangible results.
His rate is $29 per half hour.

Erland Wenn (Guitar, Bass Guitar, Ukulele)

Erland is an experienced and dedicated musician with a diploma in music from VCC. Erland has been teaching guitar and bass for over 25 years. He has an enthusiastic personality and enjoys teaching many different styles of music. Erland can also teach ukulele. As well, he runs our rock band program, showing young musicians how to play as a group. He welcomes students of any age and ability.
His rate is $30 per half hour.

Gord Campbell (Guitar, Bass Guitar, Ukulele)

Gord has been active in the musical landscape of the lower mainland since the early 80s, playing professionally with such artists as Anette Ducharme, Tony Pappa and the Buicks.
He has done many studio sessions, recording with bands such as the Headpins. Gord has taught guitar for 8 years, focusing mainly on rock guitar, with special attention to soloing and improvisational skills. He also teaches beginner bass, ukulele, and mandolin. Gord teaches all age groups for acoustic/electric guitar. Rock guitar students can range from beginner to advanced students. He especially enjoys making the experience of learning a musical instrument fun and enjoyable for the student. His rate is $29 per half hour.

Ian Moncur (Guitar, Ukulele, Bass Guitar)

Ian Moncur is a well respected guitarist in Vancouver and the founding member of the band 'One and a Half'. Ian has been teaching and successfully gigging with the band in the lower mainland for over 20 years. Specializing in classic and modern rock,is a whiz at soloing. Ian uses the tab method for his teaching. Ian strives to give each of his students the most inspiring and fun learning experience possible.
His rate is $30 per half hour.

Jennifer Abbott (Piano, Clarinet, Ukulele, Recorder)

Jennifer Abbott has been an avid member of the music scene for over 35 years, teaching and specializing in piano and keyboard knowledge. She has extensive experience instructing students of all ages and styles of piano, keyboard and ukulele. Jenn has been involved with many workshops, accompanied professional choirs and taught group lessons. Jenn offers and enjoyable and practical approach to learning and welcomes students of all ages and abilities. Jenn especially loves working with young children and beginners. She also teaches beginner clarinet to students 8 years and older.
Her rate is $30 per half hour.

Maria Cara (Voice, Piano, Theory, Songwriting, Ukulele, Guitar)

Self-taught and mentored by industry experts, Maria has composed over 100 original songs and secured first place in a prestigious singing contest. Her teaching philosophy focuses on playing from the heart, building on individual strengths, and creating a collaborative learning experience tailored to each student's unique style. Maria’s extensive volunteer work in elementary schools, churches, and fundraisers underscores her compassionate approach to music education. All ages welcome.
She teaches a variety of genres, including Pop, Musicals, Rock, Alternative, Motown, Country, Opera, and more.
Maria's rate is $30 per half hour.
